Description
Born in Imperial Calendar Year 934 on Martine, Jinto Linn is the son of Rock Linn, the planet's president. After his mother's death while working as a mining engineer, Teal Clint and family raised him during early childhood. This arrangement ended when an Abh imperial fleet threatened Martine. Rock Linn negotiated a surrender that secured his entry into the Abh nobility, making Jinto heir to the Earldom of Martine and Count of Hyde. This decision made Jinto deeply unpopular on Martine and fractured his friendship with Ku Dorin, who openly hated the Abh. Consequently, Jinto was sent to Derctuh for nine years to study the Abh language, Baronh, and Abh cultural norms.

Returning to Martine to assume his title, Jinto was assigned an escort to the imperial capital: Abriel Lafiel, an Abh royal princess whose status he initially missed. Their journey on the patrol ship Goslauth coincided with war erupting between the Abh Empire and the Four Nations Alliance. During an attack, Jinto and Lafiel evacuated, beginning survival challenges. At the Barony of Febdash, Jinto faced anti-Lander prejudice due to his human origins. Baron Febdash Klowal imprisoned him alongside the former Baron, also a Lander. Lafiel orchestrated a rescue where Klowal perished, marking Jinto's first exposure to combat and imprisonment.

Diverted to the enemy-controlled Sufugnoff system, Jinto and Lafiel crash-landed on Clasbul. His terrestrial survival skills proved vital in navigating the environment, contrasting Lafiel's spacefaring background. In Lune Biga City, United Mankind forces discovered them after self-defense. During capture, Jinto sustained a shoulder injury shielding Lafiel from Lt. Kyte. Anti-Imperial Landers aided their escape through volcanic tunnels, enhancing Jinto's combat skills and cementing his role as a grounding influence on Lafiel during tactical decisions.

After Abh forces rescued them, Jinto learned of Martine's occupation and his father's execution. He attended a three-year military academy specializing in logistics and supply, while Lafiel trained as a ship commander. Upon graduation, he joined Lafiel's assault ship Basrogrh (Basroil) as supply officer. During Operation Phantom Flame, he participated in engagements, including the defense of Aptic Gate. When the Basrogrh was critically damaged, he delayed evacuation to search for a crewmate before escaping.

Jinto's duties later expanded into diplomacy. Appointed deputy ambassador with Lafiel, he was sent to Lobnas II, a repurposed prison planet. During a rebellion by the criminal group Lash Barcala, he was taken hostage and declared missing for weeks. Lafiel led a rescue mission. This intensified her protectiveness, leading her to accompany him on later non-combat assignments. One mission returned him to the Hyde system, where he negotiated Martine's surrender to the Abh Empire. The terms preserved the planet but required Jinto's permanent exile, forfeiting any return home. There, he briefly reunited with Ku Dorin, now in the anti-Abh resistance.

During the Hania Federation's unexpected invasion of the Abh capital Lakfakalle, Jinto was evacuated with civilians while Lafiel defended the imperial family. Empress Ramaj perished, and Lafiel became Crown Princess. Lakfakalle's destruction divided the empire; Jinto continued serving under Lafiel as she commanded the Fleet of Thunder during the ensuing military stalemate.

Physically, Jinto is 1.78 meters tall with brown hair and eyes. His character exhibits thoughtfulness, sensitivity, and courtesy, often counterbalancing Lafiel's assertiveness. He demonstrates selflessness and optimism, readily assisting others despite personal risk. While honest and occasionally blunt with Lafiel, he conceals their friendship from crewmates to prevent jealousy. Despite functional adaptation to Abh society, he experiences persistent alienation, feeling neither fully accepted by the Abh nor connected to his former home.
