Description
Falce the Variablewand began as the final creation of a powerful dark magician and alchemist, who perished long ago, leaving her sealed and abandoned beneath the academy. Her true nature is that of a sentient magical staff, inherently capable of shape-shifting into various objects. She exhibits a strong preference for manifesting in a humanoid form: a tall woman with noticeable physical endowments, mint green hair cascading past her hips, green eyes, and distinctive spiraled horns on either side of her head.
Takuto Hasegawa first encountered her when he stumbled into her hidden chamber during training. Reacting to this intrusion, Falce captured him, driven by a lingering sense of obligation to continue her deceased creator's unspecified work. This led to a battle with Tanarotte and Suzuho Hasegawa, resulting in her apparent destruction. However, she later reappeared, delivered unexpectedly to Takuto's residence in a package. She then acknowledged Takuto as her new master, a loyalty shift sparked by kind words he offered her during their initial meeting.
Her magical power is formidable, measured at an estimated level of 58,000. This strength allows her to cast spells even within environments nullified by Suzuho's magic-draining abilities. Her signature power, "Variablewand," enables her transformation into practical items like mechanical pencils or other classroom tools, though she frequently reverts to her staff form specifically for Takuto to wield during spellcasting.
Personality-wise, Falce displays a consistently ditzy, naive, and cheerful demeanor. She often refers to herself grandiosely as the "Demon King," despite her gender. While less overtly aggressive than Tanarotte or Suzuho in expressing affection toward Takuto, she harbors genuine feelings for him and occasionally joins their antics. She primarily offers Takuto comfort amidst the surrounding chaos, distinguishing her role within the group. Tanarotte labels her Takuto's "Dutch wife," hinting at her perceived domestic or companionate function. Her behavior blends childlike simplicity with occasional moments of mature insight, maintaining a sunny disposition throughout her interactions.
