Mapul, also known as Marple Mashu Marces, was originally designated a sacrificial maiden for the demon lord Exoda C. Claw on the demonic island of Shina Dark. In a twist of fate, Exoda rejected her role as concubine or sacrifice and instead adopted her as his daughter. This adoption followed Exoda's revival, during which he discovered over a thousand women stranded on the island due to false legends about his nature. As the demon lord's adopted child, Mapul became part of Shina Dark's unorthodox household, which included Exoda's servants and the two exiled princesses appointed symbolic leaders of the newly formed nation.
