Ilse Langnar, a second-year student at Attack Junior High, serves as a dedicated news reporter for the school. Constantly focused on documenting events, she carries a notebook everywhere to record observations. Her appearance features short black hair parted to the right, lightly tanned skin, golden eyes, and a small patch of freckles on her cheeks; she wears the standard female school uniform.

Her primary role involves reporting on school activities, documenting meetings with students like Marlo, Annie, Hitch, and Boris. During Sports Day, she acts as the official commentator, providing live updates. A significant incident occurs when she uncovers a scandal involving the student council president, vowing to expose his wrongdoing in her notebook. While rushing to her club room, she encounters a Titan and drops her notebook in fear.

Following the election for a new student council president, Ilse observes and records the candidates' activities. A group of candidates pursues her, attempting to seize her notebook, though they later return it after deeming its contents unimportant. Marco Bodt returns the notebook and apologizes for their behavior. During the final presidential speeches, Ilse stands in the press section documenting the proceedings. She publicly applauds Marco for defending a friend impartially and advocates for his presidency, citing his selflessness as a key qualification. Her endorsement influences the crowd, who cheer in support.

Later, during the school's 104th festival, Ilse continues her reporting duties. Noise from a cat café startles her while she takes notes. She also follows members of the Wall Cleanup Club during their mission to retrieve stolen food, providing commentary on their progress while Marco Bodt films her.

Her relationship with Marco Bodt includes her recognition of his commendable qualities during the election. Their collaboration extends to documenting the Wall Cleanup Club's activities.
