Movie
Description
Prince Coco hails from the Palmier Kingdom. After its invasion by Nightmare, enabled by his best friend Nuts' unwitting betrayal, Coco fled to the human world. His mission is to recover the Dream Collet and gather Pinkies to restore his kingdom and free Nuts, imprisoned within the Dream Collet. To operate covertly among humans, Coco transforms into a human male, adopting the alias Kokoda Kouji. In this guise, he secures a position as a teacher at L'École des Cinq Lumières, strategically placing him near the Pretty Cure team. Maintaining his human form demands constant effort; fatigue or injury causes him to revert to his true fairy form.

In his natural state, Coco resembles a fox-like creature with beige fur, a salmon-red head tuft, triangular ears, blue eyes outlined by black lashes, fluffy neck fur, and a puffy tail. As Kouji, he appears as a tall young man with short brown hair. His typical attire includes a white shirt, blue trousers, a blue vest, and brown loafers. Later, in *Kibou no Chikara ~Otona Pretty Cure '23~*, his style shifts to a dodger blue shirt, white jacket, livid trousers, and sneakers, featuring slightly longer sideburns.

Coco possesses a kind, trusting, and protective nature, prioritizing others' safety even if revealing his true form becomes necessary. His human persona displays calm wisdom, contrasting with the greater energy of his fairy form. He forges deep bonds, particularly with Nozomi Yumehara (Cure Dream). Beginning as allies, his feelings for her evolve into romantic affection, though he hesitates to confess, anticipating separation after restoring Palmier Kingdom. Their relationship progresses: in *Yes! Pretty Cure 5 GoGo!*, he admits his feelings and shares a kiss with her to break mind control during a movie event. By *Kibou no Chikara*, they reconcile their duties across worlds and marry. His friendship with Nuts remains complex, marked by initial distrust post-rescue but enduring loyalty. A childhood engagement to Princess Crepe, lacking mutual romantic intent due to cultural misunderstanding, ends with Coco respectfully declining her advances while preserving their friendship.

Throughout *Yes! Pretty Cure 5*, Coco mentors the team, guiding their Pinky collection for the Dream Collet. Following Nightmare's defeat, he returns to Palmier Kingdom as its king. In *GoGo!*, he confronts new threats from Eternal and navigates interpersonal conflicts, including Syrup's resentment over unfulfilled promises. He gains the power to summon Cure Fleurets using the Palmier crown. Captured alongside Nuts by villains within the Mirror Kingdom during *Kagami no Kuni no Miracle Daibouken!*, they require rescue by the Pretty Cure.

In *Kibou no Chikara*, Coco balances kingship with his personal life. Initially overwhelmed by duties, he reduces communication with Nozomi but remains deeply concerned for her safety, especially upon learning she resumed transforming as Cure Dream despite physical risks. Relocating to Earth to support her, he aids in combating Shadows and confronts his fears about their future. After Nozomi falls into a coma post-battle, he confesses his feelings and proposes upon her recovery. Their marriage allows him to manage royal responsibilities—including aiding the Donuts Kingdom—while maintaining their life together.

His name "Coco" combines with "Nuts" to form "coconut," reflecting the palm-derived name of his kingdom. His human alias, Kokoda Kouji, linguistically plays on "I am Coco" in Japanese, with "Kouji" symbolizing "well-being" and "history."
