TV-Series
Description
Haru-chan, formally Haruko Tokunaga (née Matsuoka), is a human-bunny hybrid. He possesses strawberry blond hair fading into pink ombre, light blue eyes, and ivory skin. His frame is short and thin at 5'2" (157 cm) and 120 lbs (54 kg), marked by no scars. His attire strictly favors cute, girly designs only when comfortable, rejecting anything itchy.
Born February 24th, Haru-chan suffered severe childhood physical and emotional abuse from a woman he thought was his mother, later exposed as his kidnapper. Her rules enforced silence, darkness, confinement indoors unless raining, and stillness in her absence. Disobedience brought punishments like having his mouth taped shut or being locked in the basement. Despite the trauma, he clung deeply to his abuser. She eventually vanished, abandoning him for days until he fled intruders, ending up homeless and starving in an alley.
Rescued as a teenager by brothers Isao and Takumi, Haru-chan was adopted. Their mother, desiring a daughter, readily accepted him upon learning he was male. He now views Takumi and Isao as older brothers and develops a close bond with Isao's partner Reiji, who cooks for him. Friends include video game buddy and pseudo-brother Adrian, and school friend Yuuma, whom he considers his best friend.
Haru-chan is characterized as a crybaby with girly and clumsy tendencies. His speech retains a childlike manner, using "pwease" for "please" and "chu" for "you," along with stuttering, though this has improved. He requires thumb-sucking to fall asleep. Positive traits include sweetness, innocence, eagerness to help, and honesty—though he can be guilted into lying, causing distress. Negative traits involve being easily spoiled, impressionable, prone to manipulation, and quick to cry. He resents being called a baby, reacting with pouting or attempts to prove maturity through ill-advised actions.
Currently living stably, Haru-chan is gradually learning social skills and public behavior under Isao's guidance to become responsible. He attends school, showing significant developmental progress. Likes include the color pink, daisies, fluffy animals, spring, pancakes, stuffed animals (especially his dog plush "Cubby"), peaches, napping, and movies. Dislikes encompass being called a baby, scary films, medical visits, physical pain, and "meanies."
Talents feature obliviousness and deploying a persuasive "puppy-dog face." His hobbies involve secretly reading books from Takumi's closet. He lacks comprehension of subtlety, sarcasm, or innuendo. Physical stats note above-average speed (8/10) and stamina (9/10), average strength (6/10), and below-average intelligence (4/10). His recovery and integration into a supportive family highlight his ongoing journey toward healing and normalcy after early trauma.
