Description
Hanasaki Tsubomi, also known as Cure Blossom, is a central character in *Heartcatch Pretty Cure! Hana no Miyako de Fashion Show...Desu ka!?*. A shy and introverted girl, Tsubomi possesses a strong affinity for flowers, influenced by her family's flower shop and her grandmother's botanical expertise. Her surname "Hanasaki" combines "hana" (flower) and "saki" (bloom), while her given name "Tsubomi" (flower bud) reflects her initial inexperience and subsequent growth. She adopts the alias "Cure Blossom" after being inspired by a blossoming tree, symbolizing her connection to nature and cherry blossoms.

Tsubomi uses her move to a new city as a chance to overcome her timidity. Her personality evolves through friendships, particularly with the energetic Erika Kurumi, who encourages her to become more expressive and confident. Deeply kind, Tsubomi avoids causing others distress and often internalizes worries until reaching a breaking point, signaled by her catchphrase: "I can't stand it anymore!".

In the movie, Tsubomi travels to Paris to model in a fashion show organized by Erika's mother. She encounters a mysterious boy pursued by the antagonist Baron Salamander. Recognizing his distress, she insists on aiding him despite his resistance, demonstrating unwavering compassion. She renames him "Olivier" due to difficulties pronouncing his original name.

Tsubomi persists in supporting Olivier as he grapples with conflicted loyalty towards Salamander, who once acted as a father figure but now seeks to exploit him. When Olivier angrily declares he hates her during modeling practice, Tsubomi reacts tearfully, highlighting her emotional sensitivity. She later comforts him during a traumatic full moon transformation, solidifying their bond.

Her civilian appearance in Paris includes a knee-length pale pink ruffled strapless dress, a denim jacket, dark stockings, and beige cowboy boots, accessorized with a magenta heart necklace. As Cure Blossom, her hair turns bright pink and lengthens into a ponytail adorned with floral accessories. Her transformation outfit features a white mini-dress with petal-shaped accents and a cherry blossom motif.

Tsubomi relies on her grandmother, Kaoruko, for guidance. Her partnership with the fairy Chypre evolves from initial skepticism to deep mutual trust. She maintains close friendships with fellow Cures—Erika (Cure Marine), Itsuki (Cure Sunshine), and Yuri (Cure Moonlight)—who collectively support Olivier and confront Salamander's threat in Paris.
