Description
Deit, designated Number 56 in the Gallian Army's penal Squad 422, known as the Nameless, is a Darcsen forcibly transferred to this unit solely because of his ethnicity. His original enlistment in the Gallian Militia stemmed from concern for his younger sister, Dyna, but the transfer severed his identity and isolated him from loved ones. His imposing height and pessimistic demeanor originate from childhood experiences of bullying and unemployment, sustained only by Dyna's support.
Deployed with the Nameless, Deit learned of Dyna's death through a letter delivered by Kurt Irving. This news rendered his subsequent desertion attempt futile. During this attempt in the Barious Desert, fellow squad member Amy Apple followed and persuaded him to reconsider. Surrounded by Imperial forces, Kurt and the Nameless rescued them. This event catalyzed Deit's gradual emotional opening, particularly toward Amy, whose resemblance to Dyna fostered a protective bond. His "Sister's Face" Personal Potential—boosting anti-personnel damage when near Amy—replaced his initial "Misanthrope" trait, symbolizing his shift from isolation.
Deit also aided researcher Valerie Aynsley in her studies of Darcsen history and the Calamity, though he doubted her efforts would swiftly end Darcsen persecution. After the war and the Nameless disbanded, he established a modest livelihood using his wireworking skills. He later embarked on journeys to connect with Darcsen communities, deepening his curiosity about his heritage. At a reunion with Valerie during Kurt and Riela's wedding, he offered to assist her ongoing research into the Darcsen Calamity.
His gameplay traits reflect his development: "Darcsen Pride" enhances combat alongside fellow Darcsens, while "Pessimist" reduces evasion at low AP. His elite-class stats, including 375 HP for Tech Elite and 69 Accuracy for Sniper Elite, emphasize his resilience.
