Description
Kakeru Nohara, nicknamed Striker, is a 12-year-old boy distinguished by his brown hair styled like a scythe and his constant outfit: a green and orange soccer jersey emblazoned with a yellow "S", white shorts, and long green socks. His brown eyes complete this consistent look, unaffected by seasons due to the short sleeves. The manga later shows him abandoning this uniform after quitting soccer.

Striker resides with his parents, four younger brothers—including twins Takeru and Masaru—and a pet parrot, Cap. As the eldest, he shoulders responsibility, fostering a serious and diligent nature. Yet he also bursts with high energy, especially when discussing soccer, Battle Spirits, or his idol My Sunshine, aligning him closely with the protagonist Bashin. He embraced Battle Spirits to reconnect with his brothers, who once idolized his soccer skills but shifted their admiration to Bashin after Striker suffered a career-ending leg injury during an elementary athletics meet. This accident exposed prior damage, leading doctors to forbid further soccer.

During his hospitalization and rehab, Bashin's mother Hayami taught him Battle Spirits. This awakened his status as a chosen card battler, granting him a V-shaped green pyroxene stone. The stone empowered Cap to speak and granted Striker access to the Isekai World, where spirits physically manifest.

As a card battler, Striker favors green-attribute decks, later incorporating minor elements of other colors. His signature spirits include The Duke Kingtaurus, The SavageKnight Hercules, and The GreatArmoredLord Deathtaurus (a green/purple spirit). He earned his first X-rare card defeating a Nazo-Otona (Number Eight) and obtained The SavageKnight Hercules after overcoming a disguised priest (another Nazo-Otona) at a mountain camp. His battle record shows wins and losses against figures like Bashin, Suiren, and J, with notable victories over Elliott (Number Two) and the priest.

Striker competes in major tournaments with Team Shomen Toppa. During the King Uchuuchouten Cup, he partners with Suiren against Numbers Nine and Eight, suffering defeat and capture. Rescued later, he witnesses the final battles where his green stone is expended as a "life," severing his Isekai World link and silencing Cap. An epilogue hints at the stone's restoration. In the manga, he intervenes in a critical battle between Bashin and Number Nine, using a tactical bluff to secure an unexpected win despite his inexperience.

Striker maintains a rivalry with Suiren, frequently losing but gradually building mutual respect. His admiration for her idol persona, My Sunshine, creates internal conflict due to her contrasting personalities. He experiences fleeting romantic interest in Kyouka (J's sister) and endures teasing after a near-drowning incident leads to a dream involving Suiren and Kyouka vying for his affection. His loyalty to friends and teammates remains consistent across anime and manga.
