Vincent Mancini, affiliated with SinTEK Enterprises and personally involved with its chairwoman Elexis Sinclaire, is poisoned by her during an intimate encounter using drugged wine. She then subjects him to involuntary surgical transformation into a mutant. This grants him enhanced physical capabilities: accelerated regeneration, bulletproof skin impervious to conventional firearms, and augmented strength.

He possesses prior knowledge of the serum developed by Blade's father, which can negate mutant regeneration. Vincent is implicated in Blade's father's death during an altercation over stolen data, an event he later references. After mutation, he infiltrates HardCORPS headquarters, killing multiple officers including Tim, a colleague of Blade; Tim sacrifices himself to stop Vincent's assimilation attempt.

Vincent participates in defending the SinTEK tower against an assault by Blade and HardCORPS operatives. During this confrontation, he battles Blade, leveraging his mutant abilities to inflict severe injuries. The conflict ends when Blade deploys a concealed cybernetic blade, stabbing Vincent through the eye and killing him.
