Sho Suzuki is the son of Toichiro Suzuki, founder and leader of the esper organization Claw. Raised in a mostly loving family, his parents' marriage dissolved after Toichiro established Claw and pursued world domination. Like his mother, Sho rejected his father's ideology and ran away, maintaining periodic contact with her. He gathered former Claw espers to form a resistance against his father, becoming their "Leader".
Confident and energetic, Sho often appears cheerful and candid. He displays occasional arrogance and ruthlessness, possibly inherited from his father. Responsible for his age, he struggles to remain calm under pressure. His determination to oppose Claw led to extreme measures, including faking his family's deaths and burning down the Kageyama house to manipulate Shigeo Kageyama into joining him. When overwhelmed, he covers his face with his hands. Promotional material indicates an affinity for animals, and he owns a pet hamster. His hobbies include drawing and practicing pro wrestling moves. He favors spicy pork curry, dislikes citrus, listens to all music genres, and favors the film "Mach Fighter Futoshi 4".
In the 7th Division arc, Sho infiltrated a Claw facility to recruit powerful espers. He encountered Ritsu Kageyama and other escapees from the Awakening Lab, effortlessly defeating Ritsu and later capturing both Kageyama brothers. He imprisoned them alongside Teruki Hanazawa in an anti-ESP room, teasing Teruki for appearing scared. Sho later intervened to defeat the high-ranking Claw member Ishiguro, criticizing Shigeo's perceived weakness while acknowledging Ritsu's potential.
During the World Domination arc, Sho recruited Ritsu directly, evacuating the Kageyama parents before burning their house to incite Shigeo against Claw. He led his team to Claw's headquarters, defeating numerous lower-level espers and incapacitating Ultimate 5 member Hatori with a single attack. Facing his father, Sho unleashed his Charge Bomb—a technique involving three months of stored psychic energy—but Serizawa blocked it. Toichiro retaliated, overwhelming Sho until Shigeo intervened. Initially dismissive of Shigeo's pacifism, Sho later recognized its strength and revealed Toichiro's energy-transfer ability. Shigeo shared energy, enabling Sho's survival. After Toichiro's defeat, Sho expressed concern for his father, stating Toichiro needed to face his mother's reprimand.
In the ???% arc, Sho aided his father against Shigeo's uncontrolled outburst. He assisted Toichiro in deploying a unified Charge Bomb, though Shigeo absorbed the energy. Witnessing Shigeo's power and his father's near-fatal absorption attempt, Sho urged retreat. Escaping, both agreed on the dangers of psychic abilities, with Sho declaring he would cease using his powers. He inquired about Shigeo's fate; Toichiro replied no one could stop him.
By the series epilogue, Sho attended Reigen Arataka's birthday party at Serizawa's invitation, wearing a puffer jacket and sporting shorter hair. He expressed pleasant surprise at encountering Ritsu.
Sho possesses formidable esper abilities, specializing in telekinesis for rapid strikes and combat. He manipulates light to render himself invisible, though this fails against powerful espers like his father. He demonstrates psychic negation, countering attacks like Ishiguro's gravity orbs, potentially through energy overload. His signature Charge Bomb stores psychic energy over months for a concentrated explosive release. Despite defeating Ultimate 5 members, he remains outmatched by Shigeo and Toichiro. His psychic aura manifests as orange energy with bubble-like patterns.
Physically, Sho is 153.3 cm tall and weighs 42.4 kg, with spiky orange hair, thin eyebrows, and blue eyes. His typical attire is a white shirt, green-and-white varsity jacket, jeans, and sneakers. After his jacket's destruction, he switched to a cream long-sleeve shirt with brown stripes, black pants, and new sneakers.
