Minori Asagiri is a wealthy middle-school student, the daughter of businessman Masashi Asagiri. She possesses short lilac hair with choppy bangs and blue-green onyx eyes. Her design features three distinct looks: confined in white pajamas with chipped nails (an anime-original detail contrasting her cuteness), possessed by Mogami, and wearing her Salt Middle School sailor uniform. Her hair color shifted from initial pink concepts to purple to better reflect her ghastly state during possession. Her personality is spoiled and fierce. She habitually bullies peers she deems socially inferior, deriving satisfaction from humiliating the defenseless and using her status to dominate classmates and ruin lives. This cruelty made her a target for possession by the evil spirit Keiji Mogami, who sought to punish her while using her father's wealth to lure greedy psychics. After possession, she was confined to a basement room in her family mansion, initially misdiagnosed with psychological issues. When Mogami used her body to kill a doctor, she was restrained with handcuffs. Her father offered a reward for exorcists, attracting psychics including Shigeo Kageyama and Arataka Reigen. During Reigen's investigation, Mogami manipulated her body to falsely accuse her father of abuse, though the deception was exposed. Mogami subsequently defeated all psychics except Kageyama, who used astral projection to enter her mind. Within the psychic world Mogami created, Minori transferred into Kageyama's class and subjected him to six months of intense bullying. This included pouring sour milk on him, orchestrating social isolation, threatening a cat he cared for, and ordering physical assaults. Her actions mirrored her real-world behavior, intended to break Kageyama's spirit under Mogami's influence. She later revealed this stemmed from her own fears of social rejection and isolation. After Kageyama defeated Mogami's spirits, Minori awoke freed. She offered a casual apology and thanks, then broke down confessing her real nature matched the bully in the psychic world. Kageyama's forgiveness inspired her resolve to change. She visited her recovering father in the hospital, crediting her rescue to a boy her age. This led to her father donating to the Psycho Helmet Cult. Her memories of Kageyama became vague, but she retained deep gratitude and a desire to meet him again. She later appeared watching news reports about citywide destruction, indicating ongoing awareness of psychic events.
