Description
Captain Trap commands Trap Tower and its fleet as a Marine captain. He possesses tan skin, an average build, and a long face featuring a large nose, wrinkles around the mouth, and prominent bushy eyebrows. Short black hair frames his face, accentuated by a distinctive metal plate covering the left side from cheekbone to hairline and ear. His attire combines the standard Marine coat with a purple pinstriped suit featuring grey buttons, a yellow polka-dot shirt, white shoes, and a green tie adorned with a Kung-Fu Dugong motif.

His personality reveals extreme, self-destructive obsession with capturing Monkey D. Luffy, coupled with a short temper that flares when adversaries outmaneuver him. Regarded as highly intelligent among Marine captains, his practical judgment often falters. This is evident in diverting his fleet's entire budget to build Trap Tower instead of using conventional prisons, and staffing his forces primarily with Kung-Fu Dugongs he finds "cute." He favors elaborate, theatrical plans over straightforward solutions and displays genuine concern for the dugongs' safety, reacting strongly if they face harm despite deploying them in dangerous traps.

Relationships highlight his dynamic with subordinates. His unnamed Marine officer follows orders diligently but visibly questions Trap's eccentric decisions, particularly his affection for the dugongs. The dugong subordinates obey commands but lack loyalty, abandoning their posts during combat and showing no inclination to rejoin him afterward.

As a Marine captain, Trap holds authority over his fleet, including the subordinate officer, hundreds of Kung-Fu Dugongs, and nine giants. He demonstrates above-average physical strength by shattering glass bottles with one hand. His primary tactical asset is Trap Tower's control room, granting access to its array of mechanical traps, though these prove ineffective against the Straw Hat Pirates' abilities.

During the Trap Tower incident, Trap orchestrates an ambush on the Thousand Sunny, first deploying a dugong to sabotage the ship's cola reserves. He then raises Trap Tower beneath the stranded vessel, activating sequential traps:
- Cutting Hell (spinning blades), destroyed by Luffy.
- Hammer Hell (giant animatronic), dismantled by Sanji.
- Golden harpoon launchers, countered by Zoro.
- A cannon room manned by dugongs, thwarted when Luffy deflects cannonfire back at the walls.
After Brook's lullaby subdues the dugongs, Trap drains the chamber, dropping the ship into a pillar-filled room. The crew escapes when Robin guides the ship and Luffy breaches the tower wall. Enraged, Trap summons the Giant Nine, but they fail to destroy the Sunny. The tower sustains critical damage when a giant's club strikes it after being hit by the ship's Gaon Cannon. The Straw Hats escape using recovered cola barrels, leaving Trap's plan in ruins and Trap Tower partially collapsed.
