Clint Barton serves as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent under Director Nick Fury's command. Fury dispatches him alongside agent Natasha Romanoff to apprehend fugitive Tony Stark following an incident involving War Machine and a new enemy. In Karachi, Barton confronts Stark using his signature archery skills and trick arrows. The Punisher intervenes to aid Stark's escape, forcing Barton and Romanoff to retreat. Later, Barton joins the defense of the compromised S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier against the techno-organic weapon Technovore, battling alongside fellow heroes aboard the vessel. After the defeat of Technovore and Ezekiel Stane, Barton witnesses Stane's apprehension into S.H.I.E.L.D. custody.
