Description
Giess began his life as a Somali child soldier, enduring extreme violence during a terrorist attack on his village. Forced under duress to murder his parents and rape his sister to survive, these atrocities forged his fractured worldview and warped perceptions of loyalty. After the massacre, Brigadier and Abigail salvaged his critically injured body, rebuilding him with cybernetic enhancements that transformed him into a weaponized enforcer for the Babel Brigade. His augmented physique boasted reinforced strength and durability, engineered specifically to counter magical girls.

He later perpetuated the cycle of trauma by targeting others, most notably Chisato Yonamine. After rescuing her from an abusive father’s attempt to sell her into a brothel, he equipped her with a prosthetic leg and engineered her transformation into an illegal magical girl. This calculated “salvation” twisted her gratitude into unwavering loyalty, echoing his own indoctrination. Giess crafted violent scenarios to bind allies, such as commanding Chisato to avenge her mother’s killers, cementing her reliance on him through bloodshed.

As a central figure in the Babel Brigade, Giess spearheaded high-stakes operations, including the assault on the 6th Naha military base. There, he clashed with Asuka in brutal combat, leveraging his cybernetic upgrades and tactical precision. The duel ended with Asuka wielding a recovered magical axe to strike the killing blow, dismantling his augmented form.

Giess’s story embodies the vicious cycle of violence and coercion, revealing how inherited trauma and engineered loyalties fuel endless strife. His machinations irrevocably shaped Chisato’s path, casting her as a dual figure—exploited pawn and living armament—in the war between the Babel Brigade and the Magical Five.
