In the film "Mazinger Z vs. Devilman," Shiro Kabuto is the younger brother of Koji Kabuto, residing with him and their associates at the Photon Power Laboratory. He is present for the development of the Jet Scrander, a jet pack attachment for Mazinger Z. When the female demon Sirene attacks the lab under orders from Dr. Hell, she takes Shiro and Sayaka Yumi hostage. Sirene carries them to a high altitude and releases them, but they are saved from the fall by Devilman's intervention—an act that also leads Koji to discover Akira Fudo's identity as Devilman. After the combined forces of Dr. Hell and the Demon Tribe are defeated, Shiro expresses disappointment at Devilman's departure, and receives consolation from Sayaka Yumi.
