Description
Cragger, Prince of the Crocodile Tribe, is the son of King Crominus and Queen Crunket and twin brother of Crooler. This muscular, light green crocodile bears a distinctive scar over his left eye, rendering it sightless. His appearance evolves significantly: beginning with minimal crimson chest straps and a tooth-adorned belt, adding chainmail and a metal breastplate for the Outlands mission, and culminating in a full red and gold fire suit featuring crocodile-head kneepads for the Fire Wars.
In childhood, Cragger displayed fierce competitiveness yet forged a deep friendship with Lion Prince Laval, bonding over adventure and playful rivalry. Laval valued Cragger's drive, while Cragger cherished Laval's humor. This bond shattered when the underage Cragger illegally consumed CHI. Overwhelmed by power and consumed by addiction, his act ended Chima's Age of Peace. Presuming his parents dead after their disappearance into the Gorge of Eternal Depth, Cragger ascended as Croodilie King. His sister Crooler exploited his grief and guilt, using Persuader Plants to manipulate him into blaming Laval for their parents' fate and declaring war on the Lion Tribe. Under Crooler's sway, Cragger allied with the Wolf and Raven Tribes, stole CHI, attacked the Lion Temple, and repeatedly tried to kill Laval.
A pivotal battle saw Laval seemingly die saving Cragger from a fall. Overcome with remorse, Cragger retreated to Laval's room, tearfully confessing his regrets. He then discovered Laval had survived and rescued Cragger's mother, Crunket. This revelation, combined with exposure of Crooler's manipulation, led Cragger to renounce his aggression. He reconciled with Laval and joined the heroic tribes. In later seasons, Cragger emerged as a heroic figure. He journeyed to the Outlands to rescue Legend Beasts and fight the Crawlers, briefly succumbing to Crooler's re-brainwashing before ultimately aiding her redemption. During the Ice Hunters conflict, he actively sought the Fire Tribes and Fire Wings, strengthening bonds with Laval and Eris. His parents' reappearance solidified his commitment to protecting Chima.
Cragger wielded multiple weapons: the Vengdualize, a dual-bladed golden chainsaw-like sword in Season 1; the Scale Ripper, a versatile blade and long-range weapon gifted by his mother in Season 2; and the fiery Vengblaze alongside the triple-clawed Fyreclaw in Season 3. While retaining his competitive streak, especially in Speedorz racing, his personality shifted from ambition and greed to loyalty and selflessness. He privately vowed to safeguard Chima and its tribes, demonstrating resilience against manipulation and a capacity for forgiveness, notably reconciling with the redeemed Crooler. His final line humorously questioned how the heroes would descend from Mount Cavora.
Notably, Cragger is the only main character whose both parents appear in the series, and he and Crooler remain the only confirmed twins.
