Rogon is a member of the Rhinoceros Tribe in the world of Chima, part of a tribe led by Rhigor, who represents the rhinos on the Elder Council. He participated in the retrieval of his tribe's Chi during the first distribution following the battle at the lion city, alongside Rhigor, Runk, and Rukus. Rogon was also present at a speedor race where fighting broke out amongst the crowd and he joined in on the conflict.

Rinona is identified as Rogon's sister. Noted for her intelligence, which contrasts with other rhinos, she is the one who has been driving Rogon's truck. During the quest in the Outlands, Rinona joined the other heroes at Lavertus' Base. When the mammoths attacked, she and the fire Chi became trapped underground. She later found the rhino legend beast and came to the rescue for Rogon, Rukus, and Runk. Rinona expressed how difficult it was to be the only rhino whose intelligence wasn't boosted by the Legend Beast.
