Description
Shin Ichijō is a 15-year-old Prism Star attending Kakyoin Academy's senior high division. Born on February 29, 2000, in Kanagawa Prefecture, his rare leap-day birthdate is noted as calendar-defying since 2001 skipped that date. Before discovering Prism Shows, he played soccer at his former school. His destiny shifted on Tanabata—July 7, a day symbolizing star-crossed lovers—when he met Louis Kisaragi, who gifted him a pendant and a ticket to an Over The Rainbow show. Inspired by idol Hiro Hayami, Shin enrolled at Edel Rose Academy to become a Prism Star.

Naturally cheerful, optimistic, and obedient, Shin prioritizes others' well-being while expressing emotions with innocent honesty. Unaware of his own secret, he hosts Shine—a destructive Prism Messenger sealed inside him a millennium ago by Louis (revealed as the Rinne-type messenger Rinne). This bond grants Shin his Prism abilities but ties him to Shine's history of destroying Prism Sparkle, marked by a dark crescent moon on his neck. Louis preserves the seal to maintain Shin’s performance capabilities.

As a Prism Star, Shin performs to songs like "Over the Sunshine!," "Dramatic LOVE," and "Happy Happy Birthday!". He pioneered the "Prism Rush" technique, reigniting audiences' earliest memories of Prism Shows to evoke wonder. His signature jumps include "Shin Infinite Hug" and "Rising Sunshine." He avoids celery unless prepared by classmate Minato Takahashi.

Shin evolves from a new Edel Rose recruit into a unifying force, recognized early by Over The Rainbow for bridging divisions. At the critical Rose Party event, he lifted spirits with "Over the Sunshine" after Over The Rainbow's hiatus announcement. Now in senior high, he supports peers like Taiga Kougami, Leo Saionji, and Kakeru Juuouin through challenges. His bond with Louis/Kisaragi deepens through their duet "Crazy Gonna Crazy" and Louis’s revelation of crossing "a thousand years just to meet him," echoing their Tanabata connection.

Shin’s journey unfolds in "Road to Shiny Seven Stars," navigating high school life while strengthening friendships and debuting with Edel Rose's unit Septentrion. His story weaves destiny, connection, and performance’s transformative power, balancing ordinary school days with his Prism Star legacy.
