Description
Zenet Surrow is a Gundalian Haos brawler originally serving Emperor Barodius. As a Gundalian Agent, she spearheaded Ren Krawler's infiltration of Bakugan Interspace on Earth. Her primary Bakugan partner is Contestir, wielding the Battle Gear Spartablaster. Zenet commands advanced shapeshifting abilities surpassing standard Gundalian traits, enabling her to adopt the forms of individuals like Julie Makimoto and Ren for espionage and tactical advantage.
Initially marked by arrogance and a tendency to mock opponents, Zenet dismissed Neathians and perceived the Battle Brawlers as weak. Beneath this confidence, she concealed a profound fear of failure and disappointing her team, often anxious about "screwing things up." Her early loyalty to Barodius was absolute, but this allegiance shattered when Gill betrayed her, discarding Zenet after she secured intelligence on Kazarina and Nurzak's rebellion. During this disposal, Contestir declared unwavering loyalty, triggering her emotional realization that Gundalian leadership valued neither loyalty nor their people. This event fundamentally transformed her understanding of loyalty and friendship.
Zenet's combat history reflects both skill and strategic vulnerability. She secured victories in key battles, including a tag match against Dan Kuso and Ren Krawler – where she sacrificed Contestir to neutralize Drago's Battle Gear – a joint operation with Lena Isis against Fabia Sheen and Avatar Marucho, and later engagements against the Castle Knights while hypnotized. However, she suffered losses in one-on-one combat against Dan and during a mission with Gill against Shun Kazami and Dan. Her frequent overconfidence often contributed to these defeats.
Following Gill's betrayal, Zenet was imprisoned in a stasis tube alongside other disposed agents. Kazarina later hypnotized her, forcing her to battle allies like Fabia and Nurzak. Freed from mind control after Kazarina's defeat, Zenet, alongside Jesse Glenn and Lena Isis, renounced Barodius and joined the Neathian forces, explicitly citing hatred for how Barodius exploited Gundalians as "expendable pawns." Her final confrontation ended in swift defeat by Phantom Dharak during the assault on Barodius. Post-war, she returned to Gundalia with fellow agents Mason Brown and Nurzak.
During the Mechtanium Surge arc, Zenet continued battling, utilizing an expanded arsenal including Bakugan like Rapilator and Combustoid, plus various Mechtogan such as Barkzero Titan. A storyline involved her and her family undergoing physical transformations due to a "Cursed Orb." Her partnership with Contestir remained constant throughout this period.
