TV-Series
Description
Lythirus serves as partner Bakugan to Stoica, a member of the antagonistic group the Twelve Orders during the Gundalian conflict. This Aquos-attribute Bakugan exhibits a distinctive physical design resembling a hybrid of lobster and reptilian fish features, characterized by large scissor-like appendages capable of cutting through virtually any material. His ball form shares similarities with Terrorclaw, while his open form emphasizes a more ferocious and savage appearance.
Typically displaying a calm demeanor, Lythirus erupts with extreme volatility when provoked, often escalating into destructive rampages fueled by an obsessive need to win at any cost. This obsession drives him to employ underhanded tactics and "dirty tricks" during battles, such as flooding entire battlefields despite risks to allies. He demonstrates a complex sense of honor, condemning others like Plitheon as "lower than scum" for betraying their partners, yet shows no hesitation in endangering his own allies for tactical advantage. His loyalty remains firmly directed toward Stoica, Emperor Barodius, and Dharak.
Lythirus actively participates in multiple key battles. In early engagements, he aids the Twelve Orders' incursions into Neathia, gaining temporary advantages against opponents like Akwimos before retreating. During the brawl against Dan, Fabia, and Jesse, he teams with Plitheon against Aranaut, initially dominating until the intervention of Hawktor and Battle Gear turns the tide. Stoica equips him with the Battle Gear Razoid then, providing only a brief resurgence before defeat. Later, he assists in silencing Plitheon for desertion and battles Sabator and Aranaut again, leveraging flood-based abilities to secure victory under Stoica’s command.
His involvement continues during the assault to clear a path for Dharak Colossus, where he defeats Akwimos in a rematch and blinds Dragonoid Colossus with Acid Bubbles to facilitate Phantom Dharak’s attack. This loyalty proves fatal. While defending Barodius from Sabator and attacking Dragonoid Colossus, Phantom Dharak betrays the Twelve Orders, killing both Lythirus and Stoica to eliminate witnesses efficiently. Lythirus’s dying words—"How could you betray us?" in the English version, or "I won’t betray you!" in the Japanese original—highlight his unwavering allegiance.
In ancillary media and merchandise, Lythirus was released as a physical toy in multiple attributes and sizes, including standard Core and larger Deka versions with slight design variations. His G-Power varied, such as 630 Gs for Subterra and 850 Gs for Aquos BakuCore releases.
