Description
Plitheon is a dragon-like Bakugan serving as the primary Guardian Bakugan for Jesse Glenn, a member of the Gundalian Twelve Orders during the conflict in *Bakugan: Gundalian Invaders*. His physical appearance resembles a hybrid of Hawktor and Helix Dragonoid, while his ball form shares similarities with Strikeflier and Van Falco. He belongs to the BakuMetalix series alongside Lumino Dragonoid and Phosphos. His toy variations feature different G-Power levels: Haos at 840G, Pyrus at 770G, Subterra at 650G, and Ventus at 1100G (some Ventus variants were misprinted with Pyrus symbols and 520G ratings).
Plitheon employs an aggressive combat style, favoring unconventional tactics and exploiting any strategic angle for victory. His primary Battle Gear is Vilantor Gear, enhancing his capabilities with abilities like Vilantor Gear Nirvana. His known Ability Cards include Life Eater (subtracts 300G from opponents), Fly Slasher (adds 400G to Plitheon and replaces opponent gate cards), Hyper Verde (transfers 300G from opponents), Fly Destroyer (subtracts 400G from opponents), Ghost Storm (adds 400G), Slug Tornado (subtracts 200G from each opponent and adds 200G to Plitheon), Gravity Mine (subtracts 300G from each opponent and adds 300G to Plitheon), Drake Twister (transfers 400G from opponents), and Fencer Shield (nullifies opponent abilities). He demonstrates particular favoritism toward Life Eater, Fencer Shield, Hyper Verde, and Fly Destroyer.
Plitheon engages in numerous pivotal battles throughout *Gundalian Invaders*. He debuts defeating Fabia's Aranaut using Vilantor Gear and a stadium bug planted by Ren. Later, he teams with Linehalt against Hawktor and Neo Ziperator, overcoming both solo after Linehalt's early defeat. He pairs with Lythirus against Aranaut and Hawktor but is knocked out by Aranaut's Spiral Glowdown. Initially winning a round alongside Linehalt against Aranaut and Coredem, he ultimately loses the match. After this defeat, Plitheon expresses annoyance toward Jesse upon exiting ball form and is attacked by Lythirus and Lumagrowl, beginning to fade away. Under Kazarina's hypnosis, Jesse later uses Plitheon to battle Sabator and Aranaut alongside other Gundalian Bakugan, though they retreat due to Stoica's flooding. Plitheon participates in mass combat, effortlessly defeating Neathian forces. Following Kazarina's death, he is freed from mind control, defects to the Castle Knights, battles Phantom Dharak and other Gundalian forces, but falls to Dharak. After Barodius's defeat, Plitheon returns to Gundalia with Jesse and other defectors.
His relationship with Jesse features contrasting personalities—Jesse's sophistication clashes with Plitheon's savagery—yet they maintain effective coordination. Plitheon openly displays irritation toward Jesse's mannerisms, particularly when emerging from ball form. After their defection, this dynamic shifts toward a reluctant alliance. In *Mechtanium Surge*, Plitheon makes a non-combat cameo via an image depicting him alongside Jesse and others defending Gundalia from Chaos Bakugan.
Notable trivia includes his visual resemblance to Druman and enemies from Go Nagai's *Getter Robo* and *Mazinger* series. His ability Fly Destroyer shares artistic similarities with the *Bakugan Dimensions* card Blasting Gale. Alongside Sabator, he is the only member of the Twelve Orders never to battle Drago directly. Plitheon holds the distinction of never losing a battle within Bakugan Interspace.
