TV-Series
Description
Rubanoid is a ruby-coated dragon-like Pyrus Bakugan clad in crimson armor offering effective protection. It attacks by unleashing red energy waves from its mouth and launching blade projectiles with merciless speed. Originally partnered with Sid Arkale, Rubanoid fought in strategic battles, including a victorious tag team effort with Contestir against Linehalt and Drago, sealed when Zenet Surrow sacrificed Contestir to eliminate Drago's JetKor. It later partnered with Buz Hornix against Coredem and Akwimos; though defeated, Rubanoid and Sid stalled successfully, enabling Ren Krawler to lock the Battle Brawlers out of Bakugan Interspace. After losing to Drago, who evolved into Lumino Dragonoid during their fight, Rubanoid raged at Sid's dismissal by Emperor Barodius before Krakix subdued it for Kazarina's experiments. Sid and Rubanoid escaped captivity, after which Rubanoid battled alongside Ren and Linehalt against Dan Kuso and Drago. Following their loss, Sid entrusted Rubanoid to Ren. Ren deployed it against Aranaut; despite using its Destrakon Battle Gear's Level 2 Class ability, Rubanoid succumbed to Aranaut's Battle Crusher attack, requiring specialized tank recovery.

Ren then transferred ownership to Linus Claude, replacing Linus's fallen Neo Ziperator. Under Linus, Rubanoid defended Neathia in the final conflict against the Gundalians, battling hypnotized Bakugan like Contestir and engaging large-scale foes including Phantom Dharak. It expressed frustration at the Battle Brawlers' delayed aid, noting their help would have been valuable earlier. Post-war, Rubanoid remained on Neathia as a Castle Knight with Linus.

In battle, Rubanoid employs Ability Cards: Corundum Tusk (+300 Gs), Joule Deeper (+400 Gs), Mirage Field (nullifies opponent abilities and prevents new activations), Crimson Defense (nullifies opponent abilities), Scarlet Plate (transfers 300 Gs from opponent), and Red Deeper (-400 Gs from opponent). Its ball form resembles a Hawktor and Ravenoid hybrid. Opened, it displays jewel-like dragon aesthetics with wings designed to depress for Battle Gear mounting. Released in all attributes during Wave 3 of Gundalian Invaders, it belongs to the textureless BakuExo-Skin series. G-Power varies: 800 Gs for standard releases, 900 Gs for editions like the European BakuSuper G Aquos variant.

Notable trivia: Rubanoid is one of only two non-mechanical Bakugan animated with CGI in the original series, alongside Dragonoid Colossus, holding the distinction of being the sole standard Bakugan with CGI. It shares Viper Helios's attack animation in *Bakugan Dimensions*. Rubanoid and Aranaut are the only Bakugan with three confirmed owners: Sid Arkale, Ren Krawler, and Linus Claude; both saw their first partner deceased and their second transfer ownership to a Castle Knight. Its name derives from Latin "rubeo" (red), reflecting its ruby-like appearance.
