Hiryu Tsukishiro transfers into Class 5-3 at Gokuraku Elementary School as Asuka's cousin. After the Onigashima organization assaults Earth, he joins as the Danketsu Team's fourth member, piloting the Ryuoh and Dairyuoh mecha units. Naturally calm, he initially remains distant from team operations but commits fully after obtaining his personal mecha. As the first Eldran pilot recruited externally, he operates from the transformed Gokuraku Elementary base. Hiryu fights alongside Tarou Oomomo, Mai Oozora, and Kakeru Daichi aboard the Gokuracruiser battleship to defend Earth against Onigashima forces.
