When the Onigashima alliance threatens Earth, Tarou is selected by Eldran, the planet’s guardian spirit, to pilot the powerful mechas Teioh, Daiteioh, and Perfect Daiteioh. He vows to protect humanity alongside teammates Mai Oozora, Kakeru Daichi, and Hiryu Tsukishiro. As leader, he strategizes against alien incursions while managing team tensions, particularly clashing with Kakeru over conflicting methods. Tarou’s inventive mind births “Dentarun Ag,” a whimsical yet fear-fueled entity embodying his dread of dentists. His name echoes Taro Shirogane of the Saurers, part of a legacy linking Eldran’s pilots across generations. Through escalating conflicts with the Onigashima, he learns to temper his impulsiveness, honing his headstrong nature into strategic leadership while uniting the team.

After Eldran’s robots fall in battle, their remnants fuse into a colossal golden sword. Tarou repurposes Gokuraku Elementary as the Dankettsu Team’s headquarters, launching missions from the high-tech Gokuracruiser battleship. Initially inspired by past heroes, he evolves from a starry-eyed admirer into a pragmatic commander, integrating Hiryu—a skilled transfer student and Asuka’s cousin—into their ranks. His journey balances youthful zeal with the weight of safeguarding Earth, forging resilience through camaraderie and ever-growing threats.
