Movie
Description
Marquis appears exclusively in "Futari wa Pretty Cure Max Heart: The Movie" as one of the Courageous Warriors guarding the Garden of Hope and its vital Diamond Line jewelry. His physical form resembles a pale pink frog with large, deep plum eyes and white coloring on his torso front, distinguished by a pale pink cape fastened with a gem matching his namesake.

As the youngest warrior, Marquis possesses a cheerful, playful nature yet remains dedicated to protecting the Garden of Hope's Queen and the Diamond Line. He fights using elastic arms, a trait shared among his comrades. When faced with danger or the heroes' setbacks, Marquis reveals a crybaby disposition filled with fear, though his spirits soar dramatically upon rescue. He instantly bonds with Pollun, the Prince of Light, due to their matching personalities and shared energetic zest.

Marquis's entire background unfolds within the movie. He and his fellow warriors summon Cure Black, Cure White, and Shiny Luminous to combat the Dark Witch, who seeks the Diamond Line to resurrect the Dark King. Marquis initially tests the Cures' strength by attacking them incognito, later explaining their mission and transporting the heroes to the Garden of Hope. During the journey, he guides the group and introduces them to the kingdom's prince, who resembles Nagisa's crush. Marquis fights the Dark Witch but becomes separated during a skirmish on her ghost ship, leading to a temporary presumption of his death after the discovery of his torn cape; this loss fuels the resolve of the remaining warriors. Marquis is later revealed to have survived by hiding within the Witch's feather collar, indirectly aiding the Cures in locating and reclaiming the Diamond Line.

His speech is characterized by a unique "baby samurai" dialect, using "-de gozaimachu" instead of "desu" and pronouncing "su" as "chu." His narrative concludes with the Diamond Line recovered and the Garden of Hope restored. Marquis appears in no other seasons, movies, or spin-offs.
