Description
Rokka Asahi, who performs under the stage name LOCK, is a second-year student at Haneoka Girls' High School and serves as the student council secretary. She is the guitarist for the band RAISE A SUILEN. Originally from Gifu Prefecture, she attends Haneoka on a scholarship and shares a class with Asuka and Ako.
She works part-time at Live House Galaxy as the acting representative for events and also both works and resides at Asahi Bathhouse, which is run by her relatives.
Throughout her childhood, Rokka faced repeated failures in many areas, including academics, despite her hard work. The guitar became the only pursuit into which she poured significant effort, leading her to form a band called TRICK with schoolmates known as BERRY and PAT. After attending SPACE's final live performance, where she saw Poppin'Party perform Mae e Susume!, she decided to study in Tokyo, dreaming of forming her own band there and becoming a devoted Poppin'Party fan.
Her father initially opposed the move, but Rokka convinced him by securing both housing and a scholarship that made tuition cheaper than her local high school. She promised to focus on her studies, though her father remained skeptical and advised her to become proficient in household chores. After seeing her determination, he allowed her to go. She passed Haneoka's entrance exam and later learned to manage domestic tasks. Her middle school band disbanded when she left for Tokyo, performing one final song to mark her departure.
She has a cousin named Nanami, who provided her with lodging near the bathhouse's boiler room when she first arrived in Tokyo.
Rokka has a slender build, leafy green eyes, and slate blue hair. Her hair is styled with a fringe and usually tied in a low ponytail with a scrunchie—first one with yellow stars, later replaced by a beige lace pattern after the game's sixth anniversary update. She wears thick black glasses when not performing.
Her casual outfit consists of a frilly granny dress with pink, orange, and beige floral patterns, loose green socks, and brown Mary Jane shoes. She wears a necklace with a key to her house. For performances, she removes both her glasses and scrunchie. She previously wore her hair in two ponytails, changing to a side plait with a starry scrunchie after leaving Gifu.
Rokka is kind, hardworking, and persistent, though she has a shy demeanor and a stutter. She shows resilience in pursuing her dreams in Tokyo and in acquiring her guitar. When distressed, she often exclaims "hiiii," and when nervous or excited, she sometimes reverts to the Gifu dialect, using words like "dera." She is deeply passionate about guitar and can talk about it at length. Her friendship with Mashiro includes debates over their admiration for Poppin'Party.
Her blood type is A, and her birthday is on July 17, which coincides with THE THIRD's 2nd Live event. She is 155 cm tall. She enjoys sweet bean paste and roasted sweet potatoes but dislikes eating ramen in shops because she feels rushed. Her hobbies include playing guitar, humming songs by Poppin'Party and RAISE A SUILEN, as well as enka songs while working. She also appreciates rakugo and keeps a notebook to track her expenses.
In the anime's second season, she appears as a deuteragonist, focusing on her journey to form or join a band. She first appeared in the game during the Determined Darkness, Blue Rose Pride event, making her the first RAISE A SUILEN member introduced. She uses a 7-string version of her RAS guitar, as seen in Poppin'Dream!. In a collaboration with Tokyo Revengers, her design drew inspiration from Hanagaki Takemichi.
