Description
La mère d'Aya, a witch hunted by twelve others, abandons her infant daughter at St. Morwald's Home for Children to evade capture. She leaves a note detailing her plight and names the child Earwig. During her escape on a motorcycle, she magically transforms a lock of her hair into squirming worms to hinder pursuers driving a yellow car armed with mechanical pincers.

Formerly the lead singer of the band Earwig, she performed alongside Bella Yaga on drums and Mandrake on keyboards. The band dissolved following conflicts, partly triggered by her breach of witch community codes—potentially linked to her pregnancy. Her romantic involvement with Mandrake included moments like a kiss interrupted by Bella Yaga.

Her primary reason for leaving Earwig at the orphanage was protection from the pursuing coven, intending to reclaim her daughter once safe. The yellow car from her escape is later found in Mandrake's garage, confirming his role in the chase.

She resurfaces unexpectedly during a Christmas gathering at Bella Yaga and Mandrake's home. This reunion resolves her absence and suggests renewed connections with Earwig and her former bandmates.
