OVA
Description
Star Saber holds the position of Supreme Commander for the Autobots within the Robot Masters continuity, embodying his core identity as a heroic leader devoted to universal peace. This iteration weaves elements from his Generation 1 past into fresh narrative contexts.

His journey began humbly, evolving into that of a legendary warrior renowned across the cosmos as its greatest swordsman. Before ascending to Supreme Commander, he sought counsel from his friend God Ginrai regarding the leadership role, ultimately taking command of the Universal Defense Force. A defining characteristic is his adoption of Jan Minakaze, an orphaned human child he rescued from Decepticon attacks. He acts as Jan's foster father, championing the child's safety and education amidst the relentless war.

The ancient conflict with Decepticon leader Deathsaurus forms a central pillar of his existence. Their fierce rivalry ignited roughly 500,000 years prior when Star Saber spearheaded an assault on Deathsaurus's Planet-Destroying Fortress, successfully trapping it within the Dark Nebula. This decisive act forged Deathsaurus's unending enmity. Within the Robot Masters timeline, this feud persists amid a temporal conflict centered on the energy source solitarium, prompting Star Saber and Victory Leo to journey back through time from 2025 to aid present-day Autobots against the Decepticon fugitive Gigant Bomb.

During one Robot Masters OVA, Star Saber clashes with Starscream in a perilous aerial duel. Facing near-fatal consequences, he is rescued only by the timely intervention of Optimus Prime, showcasing crucial cross-era alliances. His active role in the solitarium conflict underscores his unwavering commitment to shielding the universe from energy-based threats.

Structurally, Star Saber retains his signature combination abilities. His smallest robot component, Saber, transforms into a red jet. This jet integrates with the V-Star battle platform to create his primary spacecraft or robot mode. Furthermore, he maintains the capacity to combine with Victory Leo (God Ginrai's rebuilt form), merging into the formidable Victory Saber. This fusion grants immense boosts to speed and power, though Victory Leo's aggressive personality introduces potential instability. The Robot Masters toy adaptation streamlines this design, omitting the original Victory continuity's "Brain of Courage" component. This version emphasizes enhanced articulation and show-accurate aesthetics in both jet and combined robot configurations.
