OVA
Description
Eva Maria Parallels, operating under the secret identity Cyborg 0015, is a central figure in the narrative. She also uses the alternative surname derivative Pallares, of Spanish origin meaning "extract" or "remove," which reflects her core motivation.

Her appearance features long blonde hair worn with a blue headband and dark blue eyes without visible sclera, giving them a sparkling quality. In her civilian disguise, she wears a Japanese high school uniform: a long-sleeved white blouse, a gray vest with a sailor collar, a black pleated skirt, and brown loafers. As Cyborg 0015, her uniform is a black version of the 00 cyborg suit adorned with silver buttons, a white scarf, two white belts, and red seams on the shoulders and boots.

She presents as kind yet reserved, with a shyness that stems from internal conflict. She exhibits curiosity about average family life, particularly the experiences of Miki Makimura. Her primary motivation is a desperate desire to save her fraternal twin brother Set from a comatose state. This drive leads her to manipulate situations and align with conflicting parties, including the demonic forces of Dr. Adams and the Black Ghost organization. Despite her deceptive actions, she demonstrates genuine care for Miki Makimura's safety and makes unwavering attempts to reason with Set even after his transformation.

As a member of the High-Teen Numbers, she possesses cybernetic enhancements including an accelerator for Mach-speed movement and self-repair capabilities. Being an Intentional Mutant, her psychic powers are enhanced through cybernetics. Her abilities include telepathy, telekinesis capable of immobilizing opponents or firing shock waves, and force field generation. She can also perform astral projection, though it is physically taxing and requires assistance from other psychics for long-distance use. A psychic aura is utilized during acceleration to blow back obstacles.

Her history begins with her birth in a Black Ghost facility in Canada alongside her brother Set, where both were subjected to experiments on mutant children. After Set falls comatose, Dr. Adams proposes a fusion with the demon Atun to supposedly cure him, which she believes. Under Dr. Adams' instructions, she travels to Japan, enrolling as a transfer student to locate Akira Fudo. She forms a friendship with Miki Makimura to gather information and use her as bait.

When demons led by Lilith appear, she reveals her cyborg identity as 0015 and brings Miki to Dr. Adams' base. The fusion process results in Set merging with Atun to become the Cyborg Daemon, but Atun overrides Set's consciousness. Despairing at this outcome, she attempts to fight the transformed Set and sustains serious injury. After being discovered and handled roughly by Devilman, she regains consciousness and attempts to rescue Miki.

During the subsequent battle, she works with Dr. Gilmore to activate an EMP wave that disrupts the High-Teen Cyborgs' systems, inadvertently causing the Cyborg Daemon to evolve into a form called Azazel. In a final effort, she uses astral projection with help from Cyborg 001 to reach into Azazel and separate Set's consciousness from Atun. This succeeds in freeing Set's soul, which moves on, while Atun weakens significantly. Her physical form is later discovered motionless with a tearful smile, having succumbed to the combined effects of astral projection and previous injuries. Some interpretations suggest her fate may be ambiguous, as the final scene does not explicitly confirm deactivation.

Her name contains biblical references. "Eva" is the Latin form of Eve, who influenced Adam's fall from Paradise, paralleling how her actions ultimately disrupt Dr. Adams' plans. "Maria" references Mary, the mother of Christ, and Mary Magdalene, reflecting her relationship with Set. The surname "Parallels" denotes similarity to another, and her design was inspired by earlier Shotaro Ishinomori characters.

Trivia notes indicate her design was inspired by an early concept for Rina Hirokoji from Ishinomori's unfinished series Blue Zone. Early concept art featured different visual elements, including standard-style eyes and red-and-black uniform variations. Efforts to conceal her cyborg identity included using a masculine placeholder silhouette in preview materials.
