Mukuri, a devoted enforcer of antagonist Miki Chiyoe and formerly known as Sakaki, undergoes grotesque physical mutations after being imbued with Miki’s mystical energies. These enhancements allow him to morph into a yōjū—a monstrous entity with heightened combat prowess, which he wields against protagonists opposing his master’s agenda. Tasked with advancing Miki’s schemes, Mukuri spearheads the abduction of Shiho Murase, a linchpin connected to the Four Holy Beasts. To destabilize his enemies, he deploys a brainwashed, mutated Tomoyo—once a carefree party girl turned soldier—to ambush and cripple key adversaries. In a decisive clash, Mukuri confronts Gendo, an esoteric monk, in a brutal duel. Though empowered by his mutated form, he meets his end at Gendo’s hands. Mukuri’s relentless efforts intensify hostilities between the protagonists and the Chiyoe faction, setting the stage for a final confrontation that solidifies his legacy as a ruthless secondary antagonist.
