Description
Tsubasa Miyazaki (宮沢翼) is a 17-year-old male candidate pilot stationed at the Shimoji Island airbase. He possesses high self-confidence that often borders on overconfidence. Initially holding the top academic grades among the trainee pilots, he firmly believes he is destined to become the next heroic Comet Blaster, a childhood dream that required significant personal sacrifices. This confidence sometimes leads him to take training and responsibilities lightly. However, his position is challenged when Mikaze Honjou displays superior natural talent, surpassing him to claim the top rank. Tsubasa struggles to accept these setbacks, reacting with visible frustration to failure or any loss of status, fueling a notable rivalry.
He is Sora Ikeda's best friend, marking a significant relationship within the group. Tsubasa also believes himself popular with women, though this self-assessment appears potentially exaggerated or unfounded, drawing parallels to Kei Fujitani's similar comedic delusions. After the group collectively fails the Comet Blaster qualifying exams, Tsubasa returns to Shimoji Island base with Mikaze and the others. Assigned as instructors for incoming Meteor Sweeper trainees, they continue facing threats from comets approaching Earth. This transition occurs amidst broader organizational mysteries within the Cosmic Emergency Management Agency and encounters with alien parasites. Tsubasa serves as a supporting character throughout the main "Stratos 4" television series, the "Stratos 4" OVA, "Stratos 4 Advance", "Stratos 4 Advance Kanketsu-hen", and the "Stratos 4: Logbook" special.
