During their final battle, his attempt to combine with Betadron and Kodokor is interrupted by Mechtavius Destroyer's lasers, critically injuring him. Unable to revert to ball form, Mutabrid is killed and absorbed by Mechtavius Destroyer, resulting in permanent disintegration. His death mirrors Nova Lion's, suggesting Bakugan perish if unable to return to ball form after severe damage. In the physical game, Mutabrid's ball form lacks anime-accurate features like double-jointed feet and hand structures on wings.
