Taylean, known as Phaser in the Japanese version, is a Ventus-attribute Bakugan from Neathia. He became Shun Kazami's fourth Guardian Bakugan after Storm Skyress, Master Ingram, and Hawktor, partnering soon after the Gundalian conflict. Taylean employs a ninja-like fighting style, leveraging speed, agility, and fortified armor. His arm-mounted weapons transform into tempered steel blades, and he can gather environmental energy to unleash devastating blasts from his hands. First appearing while observing Titanium Dragonoid's battle, Taylean later helped stabilize an arena disrupted by Drago's uncontrolled powers. Throughout the Interspace tournament, he engaged in numerous battles, defeating Flash Ingrams single-handedly and participating in extended battle royales. During one event, Taylean manifested the Mechtogan Silent Strike, a physical representation of discord with Shun before they reconciled. He acquired power-enhancing tools: the BakuNano Hammermor, the Battle Suit Blasterate, and the Mobile Assault vehicle Zoompha. Taylean fought Chaos Bakugan invasions in Interspace and Gundalia, falling to Razenoid during the Gundalian campaign. He later gained the ability to summon his Mechtogan Titan, Faser Titan, after first using Blasterate during the Dark Moon crisis. A significant evolution occurred when Taylean performed BakuMutation, fusing with Titanium Dragonoid and Infinity Helios to become Mutant Taylean. This form featured reinforced shoulder armor and head protection, deploying combined abilities like "Kazami Style - Slash Tornado + Dragon Force Striker" against Razen Titan clones. After the final conflict against Mechtavius Destroyer, Taylean parted ways with Shun and chose to reside permanently on New Vestroia instead of returning to Neathia. In an alternate timeline event, he fought alongside Skyress, Master Ingram, and Preyas against Mechtavius Destroyer, though this timeline was negated. In "Bakugan: Rise of the Resistance", a Ventus-attribute Taylean clone, created by the Hurranians using DNA strands, was deployed to destroy the Brawlers' dimensional portal. Taylean's combat techniques include numerous "Kazami Style" abilities: "Shadow Alter Ego" (creating clones), "Flame Seal" (energy projection for containment), "Ground False Slash" (nullifying opponent Gate Cards), and elemental attacks like "Gun Red - Slash Sword" and "Shooting Wind - Dusk Slash". Other abilities include defensive maneuvers like "Root Core - Battle Bastion" (energy shielding) and power-augmenting techniques like "Heavy Weight - Metal Blast".
