A significant operation sees her participating in a baseball game staged between the Pirate Control officers and her own Martian Counter Crime unit; this game functions as tactical cover for covert efforts to locate the hidden C.A.T. System 86 device on the planet. When pirates activate the device, triggering chaotic events and a widespread transformation effect that turns humans across Mars into cats, Marsha M. faces the direct effects and begins changing into a cat herself. Her transformation is halted only through the direct psychic intervention of Apollo, the cat-like alien detective, who shields both her and Raul Latell from the device's influence, preventing their complete metamorphosis. Consequently, Marsha M. remains one of the few individuals on Mars retaining her human form. Following this event, she continues her investigative efforts alongside Latell and Apollo, with their objective shifting to locating and deactivating the C.A.T. System 86 to reverse the planetary transformation. Lieutenant Petoria, another Counter Crime officer who avoided transformation due to his strong dislike for Apollo, joins them in this critical effort.
