Kinako serves as a supporting character and keeper of Yumihari-yu, her community's public bathhouse. Her father, an orchid admirer and artist supporter, joined the artist group DoRed, establishing her family link to the collective. Kinako actively participates in DoRed through her friendship with Ran Akagi and direct involvement in their activities, while sporting distinctive pink hair.

She escaped capture during a SARG raid targeting DoRed members by being absent from their base. The remaining members then deliberately concealed their whereabouts from her, prioritizing her safety by excluding her from further operations. Kinako reappears during local events, such as the 24th Ward Gourmet Festival, where she enjoys eating okonomiyaki.
