Description
Imprisoned at the Raft, King Cobra is freed during Loki's attack to acquire DISK technology. While other villains join the main battle, he seizes Pepper Potts as a hostage to force the Avengers' surrender. Akira Akatsuki intervenes, luring King Cobra under stacked containers with a feigned trade of the biocode installer for Pepper; Chris Taylor topples the containers using a forklift. King Cobra's physical capabilities enable a swift escape from the temporary entrapment, but the children rescue Pepper, leading to his defeat and capture by Iron Man. Loki later recalls his forces, returning King Cobra to his DISK.
This DISK is scattered during a dimensional oscillation incident, landing in a New York bank vault. Rosetta Riley retrieves it and releases King Cobra to attack Hikaru Akatsuki. Spider-Man intervenes, providing Hikaru with Thor's DISK. Summoned Thor defeats King Cobra, prompting Riley to recall him and flee.
King Cobra reappears when the Celebrity Five captures Spider-Man, Jessica Shannon, and Edward Grant. After Jessica and Edward escape through ventilation ducts, Riley deploys King Cobra in pursuit. He captures Jessica, but Iron Man arrives with Hulk's DISK. Jessica escapes by biting his tail; a subsequent battle results in his defeat by Iron Man and Captain America. Jessica D-Secures him back into the DISK.
Following DISK dispersal after a battle at Loki's Ice Palace, King Cobra resurfaces in Mexico. Deadpool attacks him at a villain establishment, stealing Iron Fist's DISK. Enraged, King Cobra and the Serpent Society pursue Deadpool to Japan, unaware of the Avengers' presence. The Society is quickly defeated and D-Secured. Under interrogation by Iron Man and Captain America, King Cobra reveals Red Skull freed them.
Later, Tiger Shark recruits King Cobra and the Serpent Society to establish a Gaia Anchor base in Wakanda for Red Skull's plan to destroy Earth. During Black Panther and Wasp's assault, King Cobra captures Jessica Shannon after she infiltrates the control tower to disable electrified handcuffs on hostages. Black Panther frees Jessica by throwing Vibranium daggers at King Cobra. Wasp, utilizing new Build Up Armor from Tony Stark, defeats all four villains, and Jessica D-Secures them.
King Cobra possesses extreme physical flexibility, enabling him to slither through tight spaces and constrict opponents. He demonstrates enhanced durability, surviving impacts like falling containers. His combat methods include projectile weapons delivering cobra venom and utilizing his tail as an offensive weapon. Throughout these encounters, he consistently serves as an antagonist, leveraging opportunities for personal gain or coercion while opportunistically aligning with factions like Loki's initial forces, the Serpent Society, and Red Skull's operations.
