Description
Lunafreya Nox Fleuret, princess of Lucis-allied Tenebrae, witnessed Niflheim's invasion during a childhood visit by King Regis and Prince Noctis. Her mother, Queen Sylva, perished. Lunafreya chose captivity under imperial rule with her brother Ravus over escaping with Regis.

Despite imperial restrictions, she became the youngest Oracle, communing with Eos's Astrals and healing Starscourge afflictions. Her duties required travel to suppress the plague and maintain daylight. During her teenage years, her messenger dog Pryna disappeared while covertly visiting Noctis in Insomnia, returning with a handkerchief labeled "Prompto". Lunafreya later contacted Prompto to thank him, influencing his self-improvement and friendship with Noctis.

Twelve years after Tenebrae's fall, a Niflheim peace treaty required her marriage to Noctis. Attempting an independent departure from Tenebrae, she was intercepted by Ravus and imperial forces. Emperor Iedolas transported her to Insomnia for the signing. There, Kingsglaive member Nyx Ulric gave her a hairpin originally intended as a gift from the slain glaive Crowe Altius; Lunafreya expressed remorse over Crowe's death.

Niflheim betrayed Lucis during the ceremony. General Glauca abducted Lunafreya onto an airship. Nyx rescued her, but she insisted on returning to the Citadel to aid Regis against his objections, declaring "I do not fear death". She leaped from the airship to reach him faster. Witnessing Glauca mortally wound Regis, she received the Ring of the Lucii with instructions to deliver it to Noctis. She later tricked traitorous glaive Luche Lazarus into donning the ring, eliminating him when it rejected him.

Facing Glauca's assault, Lunafreya prepared to use the ring until Nyx intervened. After he secured her escape with Libertus Ostium, she departed Insomnia with the ring. Her subsequent journey involved awakening the Astrals to aid Noctis, culminating in Altissia where she summoned Leviathan. This facilitated Noctis's covenant with the Hydraean but resulted in her mortal wounding by Ardyn Izunia. With her final strength, she healed Noctis and ensured the ancient kings' awakening before succumbing.

In an alternate timeline, Lunafreya survived Ardyn's attack but suffered daemonic corruption disfiguring her right arm. Rejecting Bahamut's destined plans, she allied with Ardyn and the Astral Shiva to defy the gods, wielding a red-tipped spear and adopting dark attire.

Throughout her life, Lunafreya maintained communication with Noctis via her messenger dog Umbra and a shared notebook containing pressed sylleblossoms, flowers native to Tenebrae that she cultivated personally. Her personality combined unwavering resolve in her duties as Oracle with deep compassion, consistently prioritizing the world's safety and Noctis's destiny above her own desires.
