Description
Persia Hayami, a central figure from *Mahou no Yousei Persia*, also features in the crossover OVA *Majokko Club Yoningumi: A Kuukan kara no Alien X*. Her story begins on Africa's Serengeti plains, raised among animals and typically clad only in leopard skin, forming a close bond with her pet lion, Simba. A dimensional disturbance during a flight to Japan with the Muroi family – grandfather Gōken and twins Riki and Gaku – transported her to Lovely Dream, the frozen realm where dreams originate, halting their flow to the human world.
There, the Fairy Queen, appearing as a butterfly, granted Persia a magical golden star headband activated by the word "Papurikko." This artifact summoned a magic baton and allowed her transformation into an older, teenage version of herself using the phrase "Perukko Raburin Kurukuru Rinkuru." Charged by the Fairy Queen with collecting "love energy" from the human world to thaw Lovely Dream and restore dreams, she returned to Japan accompanied by three kappa observers: the often-scolding GeraGera, the cowardly MesoMeso, and the frequently admonishing PuriPuri.
In Japan, Persia lived with adoptive parents Hideki and Kumi, who ran a grocery store in Minato-machi. Her irresponsible use of magic included transporting Simba from Africa and transforming him into a talking cat to hide him. She harbored romantic feelings for both Riki and Gaku Muroi, though they initially saw her as a younger sister. This dynamic shifted as the twins developed affections for her older, magical form, leading Persia to experience jealousy, especially when Riki began dating another girl, Sayo Mitomo. Navigating these emotions while balancing her secret magical identity became a recurring personal conflict.
In the OVA, Persia joined forces with three other magical girls – Yuu (Creamy Mami), Mai (Magical Emi), and Yumi (Pastel Yumi) – to combat an extraterrestrial threat. A tentacled monster was attacking young women on Earth, stealing their youth and transforming them into elderly individuals. As part of this team, Persia utilized her fairy transformation abilities in a science-fiction-oriented scenario. Yumi designed specialized space suits enabling the group's journey into space to confront and eliminate the monster at its source.
