This despair drove him to attempt suicide by hanging, but Black Ghost operatives intercepted him, shooting the rope to capture him. Alternatively, he is depicted as a restaurant owner who lost his business when a fire-breathing performance accidentally caused a destructive fire; Black Ghost agents secured him while unconscious.

His cyborg modification grants him the ability to generate and exhale intense flames as his primary offensive capability. This fire-breathing power also enables him to create tunnels through earth and trigger subterranean explosions.
