Originally named Rin, Suzune attended Hanzō Academy as a student whose skills rivaled Daidōji's. She trained relentlessly toward her dream of becoming a "Super Ninja," only to have her graduation exam interrupted by Kiriya eliminating a dummy that sneaked up on her. Following graduation, a perilous state mission in a seaside cavern ended with yōma decimating her team, leaving Suzune the sole survivor. This shattered her youthful arrogance. During recovery, she chose not to return to Hanzō as a failure. Accepting an offer from Miyabi's father, the president of Hebijo Clandestine Girls' Academy, she became a teacher there, adopting the name Suzune and embracing Hebijo's creed: "Good accepts few, evil accepts all." At Hebijo, Suzune served as a strict, demanding teacher who rejected mercy in training. She pushed students through brutal regimens like 300-hour underwater exercises and country-mile sprints, believing this forged capable shinobi. Her demeanor typically remained calm and collected, though she occasionally showed emotional investment in students, particularly the Hebijo Elites, Crimson Squad, Kiriya, and Daidōji. Suzune struggled with a fear of aging and fixation on lost youth. She frequented bars to cope with stress, leading to self-consciousness about wrinkles and diminishing vitality. Discovering a flyer for a cooking competition offering a wish-granting scroll, she entered driven by a desire to regain her youth. She defeated several Hebijo students—including Ryōbi, Ryōna, and Murasaki—won the scroll, and used it to transform back into a high school student. Reveling in renewed youth, she immediately sought out Kiriya to confess her long-held admiration. Loneliness and isolation exacerbated her age insecurities. She attempted to organize a girls' night out for older characters like Miyabi and Imu, hoping to share worries about aging, but her invitations were rejected or met with discomfort, heightening her frustration. She expressed envy toward younger characters like Haruka, challenging them in battles while lamenting their carefree youth. This obsession led her to declare open loathing for the young, especially when feeling dismissed or patronized. Her relationship with Daidōji remained complex, marked by unresolved rivalry from Hanzō. Suzune eventually confronted Daidōji to settle their duel, revealing she had grown stronger yet learned the value of softness—a lesson attributed to Kiriya. After winning, she spared Daidōji, symbolizing this growth. When yōma attacked them post-duel, they joined forces to protect Kiriya, with Suzune quietly reaffirming her love. Physically, Suzune stood 160 cm tall with measurements of 97-57-90. As a teacher, she wore a tight black miniskirt, black stockings with a paisley rim, a white dress shirt revealing her bust, and a black camisole underneath. Her transformed attire included a sleeveless shirt, red pants, and a scarf-like accessory covering her nose and mouth. She held the distinction of being the fastest character.
