Princess Refi appears exclusively in the third segment, "Leff's Wonder Night!" or "Refi's Wonder Night". She originated as a handmade doll created by the Pumpkin Kingdom's queen for her daughter, Princess Pumplulu. This doll remained in Pumplulu's room after her disappearance and later found its way to Haruka Haruno following events in the Pumpkin Kingdom.

As the 10-year-old ruler of the Night Kingdom, also called Pumpkingdom, Refi held her mother's teaching that "everything in the sun is given a name". Her kingdom fell into eternal night after an invasion by Night Pumpkin, who seized the Miracle Light source and imprisoned Refi's father, mother, and other citizens.

After the kingdom plunged into darkness, the Refi doll spontaneously came to life. She confronted the Pretty Cure team, specifically Cure Flora, seeking their aid to restore light by placing the Miracle Light atop Night Pumpkin's castle. During the mission, Refi used her singing to distract Zetsuborg guards, allowing the Cures to advance. When Night Pumpkin overpowered the Cures and stole the Miracle Light, Refi and Cure Flora resolved to retrieve it. Refi secured the light, reached the castle summit, reinstated daylight across Pumpkingdom, and banished Night Pumpkin into darkness.

In the resolution, Refi gifted her doll form to Pumplulu before the Cures departed the Pumpkin Kingdom, symbolizing the connection between the two princesses and their realms.
