Murakumo is a third-year student at Gessen Girls' Academy. She possesses fair skin, long dark brown hair tied in a side ponytail with a red ribbon, and green eyes. Standing 172 cm tall with measurements of 96-58-85, she is one of the tallest female characters. Her attire resembles a Sengoku-period warlord's, featuring armor and a red flower-trimmed haori. She consistently wears an ogre mask during combat, which projects a fearsome persona and deepens her voice to sound imposing. Without the mask, she exhibits extreme shyness and introversion, speaking with a high-pitched, stuttering voice and struggling to communicate coherently. She remains deeply insecure about her appearance despite friends' assurances of her beauty. If separated from her mask, she uses any available object to cover her face, including improvised items like her underwear or a garbage bag. Her childhood involved trauma; her parents died in an accident, though she believed they were killed in action. This loss triggered a severe inferiority complex, causing her to withdraw socially and hide her face under a bag. Her childhood friend Yomi mirrored this behavior out of solidarity. Murakumo was later adopted by Kurokage, but their time together ended when she was adopted again by the CEO of the Tairō family corporation. This separation left her heartbroken at being unable to bid farewell to Yomi. In combat, she wields a spear in her left hand and a giant cleaver in her right. Her weaponry, described as slow due to size, is highly effective. Her combat efficacy diminishes alongside her confidence without the mask. Her development centers on confronting her past. During a conflict with Yomi, now an "evil shinobi," Murakumo initially adheres rigidly to her duty to eliminate evil. Their battle culminates in Murakumo voluntarily removing her mask, symbolizing acceptance that friendship transcends alignments like "good" or "evil," openly acknowledging Yomi as a cherished friend. Beyond combat, she is creatively inclined, drawing manga comics and often enlisting other characters as references. Her creative process sometimes involves unconventional methods, such as studying physical traits like the softness of busts for illustration accuracy.
