TV-Series
Description
Ribbon is a Cocotama, a tiny magical being born from a cherished cherry blossom ribbon owned by Haruka Hoshinogawa during her childhood. This origin grants her the designation "Ribbon Goddess." She takes the form of a pink rabbit.
Ribbon possesses a happy-go-lucky, energetic, and kind personality, reflecting Haruka's own resourcefulness and friendliness, though she lacks intellectual sharpness. Her primary motivation is dedicated support for Haruka, demonstrating deep care in their shared endeavors. Ribbon is intrinsically linked to the "Key of Wonders," signifying Haruka's role as the "Legendary Cocotama Contractor." Unlike typical Cocotamas, Ribbon’s "Hiding Egg" permanently transformed into this Key upon first meeting Haruka, leaving her unable to conventionally hide from humans. Haruka thus provides her with a special compact for concealment during public outings.
Ribbon wields magic focused on generating smiles and happiness, though her control over this ability is imprecise. Her full ceremonial title is "Nico Nico no Sakura Ribbon no Mikoto."
Beyond the main series, Ribbon appears alongside other Cocotamas and Haruka in the crossover special *Crying Freeman vs. Project A-ko & Kira Kira Happy Hirake! Cocotama*, interacting with characters from those franchises. She is also featured among the animated characters in the film *A Japanese Holiday*.
