Description
Kee Keema is a waterkin merchant, a member of an anthropomorphic lizard-like race for whom "Keema" is a very popular name, distinguished by the prefix "Kee." He acts as a primary guide for the protagonist Wataru after their meeting at a baquas grove. Overjoyed to learn Wataru is a Traveler, Kee Keema holds a family belief that such individuals bring good luck, a conviction rooted in his grandfather's past wealth acquired from helping a Traveler meet the Goddess of Fate. Though he dropped out of school at a young age, he possesses sufficient knowledge to guide Wataru through the world of Vision. His demeanor reminds Wataru of his Uncle Lou, and it is implied he is that man's Vision reflection.

In the narrative of "Brave Story: New Traveler," Kee Keema is the best friend of another waterkin named Sogreth. He meets the new protagonist Tatsuya and the kitkin Meena when they seek to rescue Sogreth and his missing son, Minos, from the Seaside Cave. Expressing anger that Sogreth attempted the rescue alone, Kee Keema joins Tatsuya to assist. After the successful rescue and the defeat of a cave monster, he departs to complete a previously scheduled delivery.

He appears again when Sogreth and Yuno are falsely accused of being bandits. Kee Keema suggests the Knights of Stengel arrest him and Meena as well, since they share the same races as the accused. The captain declines, noting the real bandits wore Firewyrm rings. Kee Keema remains at the border to monitor the situation while the others pursue the culprits. After the bandits are captured and his friends' names are cleared, he remains with Sogreth, who promises to return the favor.

Kee Keema takes great pride in his darbaba, a large lizard mount named Turbo. A collectible figure provides a physical description, depicting him as a large, broadly-built creature approximately 28 centimeters in height, often shown with a backpack and a wok. His occupation as a merchant is further evidenced by an incident where his darbaba carrier nearly hit another character in Sakawa.
