Zochoten serves as one of the Four Heavenly Kings, divine antagonists opposing Getter Rays, Getter Robo, and the futures they enable. He embodies the berserker role within the group, fighting with aggressive, unrestrained fury. His primary weapon is a monk staff, augmented by the ability to manifest a large serpent in combat. Zochoten bears responsibility for the pivotal Proto-Getter incident preceding the main conflict.

The Four Heavenly Kings pursue the destruction of Getter Robo, viewing it as a planetary threat capable of unleashing the universe-consuming Getter Emperor. They act through intermediaries, manipulating the historical figure Abe no Seimei to orchestrate attacks using Oni against humanity.

Zochoten confronts the Getter Team in a final battle within a subspace dimension. During this clash, three of the Four Heavenly Kings, including Zochoten, are destroyed while attempting to suppress Getter Rays and eliminate Getter Robo. Their leader, Tamonten, subsequently faces the emergent Getter Emperor.
