Description
Shimataro Shimano serves as the father in the Shimano family, married to Sakura Shimano and parent to children Shimajiro and Hana. He works as a mailman on Challenge Island, dedicating extensive hours to door-to-door mail delivery. This demanding schedule restricts his availability for family engagements. Yet he occasionally joins activities like camping trips with his son, reflecting ongoing challenges in balancing work and home life.

His domestic skills reveal consistent ineptitude in cooking. While portrayed in family-oriented pastimes, specific personal hobbies beyond work receive minimal exploration.

Shimataro appears across multiple franchise films: *Shimajirō to Fufu no Daibōken: Sukue! Nanairo no Hana* (2013), *Shimajirō to Kujira no Uta* (2014), *Shimajirō to Ōkina Ki* (2015), *Shimajirō to Niji no Oashisu* (2017)—alternately titled *Shimajiro and the Rainbow Oasis*—and *Eiga Shimajirō Mahō no Shima no Daibōken* (2018). He is absent from the 2016 film *Shimajiro in Bookland*.
