Azuzu Komagome is a 17-year-old Valkyrie stationed at Japan's Tateyama Air Base. She sports shoulder-length grey hair, typically tied in a side ponytail on her left, with bangs covering the right side of her face and striking magenta-colored eyes. Her standard uniform is a black and light grey outfit accented by a red tie. Her personality is snippy, argumentative, pragmatic, and observant. Azuzu initially leads the 909th Squadron until Claudia Bradford's transfer to the base. Functioning as the squadron's primary tactician and inventor, she frequently modifies her Heinkel He 100 aircraft with specialized equipment to enhance its combat effectiveness against the Pillars. Her tactical ingenuity includes devising coordinated attack plans, such as simultaneous strikes designed to disrupt Pillar communication systems. During the critical assault on the Fuji Pillar, Azuzu participates alongside Claudia Bradford and Miyako Muguruma, entering a portal to Valhalla. There, they uncover Odin's true motive: orchestrating Ragnarök to amass an undead army, driven by his fear of isolation. After Miyako destroys the Pillar's core, Azuzu delivers the final blow to the weakened Odin. Interactions with veteran pilot Yayoi Amatsuka occur during the buildup to the Fuji offensive.
