Hailing from Planet Serpo in the Zeta Reticuli star system, this exclusively male species reproduces via cloning technology, resulting in biological stagnation from limited genetic diversity. To resolve this evolutionary constraint, they travel to Earth seeking human reproductive organs—dubbed "bananas"—obtained through abduction and extraction.
Physically, Serpo aliens feature angular, slug-like heads with large lips and broad teeth. Their bodies bear black markings and crystalline "headlight" eyes in colors like pink, yellow, cyan, red, green, or purple. They possess two-fingered hands with dual thumbs and cleft feet. Using nanoskin technology, they disguise themselves as grey-skinned human males clad in white dress shirts, grey pants, leather belts, and brown shoes, frequently sporting unnaturally wide smiles. Internally, their mechanical-organic hybrid bodies contain specialized tools: a retractable needle for extracting female reproductive organs, scissors for male genital extraction, and amalgamation cables for fusing with other lifeforms.
Psychologically, they exhibit oblivious hostility, perceiving their violent abductions as peaceful while labeling defensive humans "barbaric." They treat subordinates callously, viewing them as expendable assets, and readily mutate or endanger allies like the Dover Demon to achieve goals. Their primary motivation shifts from organ extraction to fascination with supernatural powers after witnessing human psychic abilities.
Abilities include advanced psychokinesis, enabling shockwave attacks (Six Sense Organ), pressurized fields (Amazing Zone), and brainwave manipulation to induce arousal in abductees. Their super-intelligence facilitates UFO construction, cloning, and interdimensional technology like "Empty Space" devices. Collective psychokinesis amplifies their power, allowing them to nullify supernatural entities.
Historically, they contacted the United States government after the 1947 Roswell incident, initiating Project Serpo—an astronaut exchange sending twelve humans to their planet. Most astronauts died from radiation exposure; two remained on Serpo with unknown fates.
Narratively, they first abduct Momo Ayase for organ harvesting but are defeated when her latent psychic powers awaken. Later targeting Ken Takakura ("Okarun") for his Turbo Granny possession, they employ the Dover Demon and Nessie as subordinates. After their comrades are killed, they fuse with both subordinates using amalgamation cables, forming the composite "Serpo Dover Demon Nessie," subsequently destroyed.
During an invasion by the Kur aliens—who overwrite Serpo data to enslave them—one unit designated Rokuro (Serpo 6rō) allies with Momo to destroy the stolen data. Rokuro diverges psychologically, showing compassion by healing allies and prioritizing Earth’s defense over species objectives. Post-Kur defeat, Rokuro is banished for human cooperation and becomes independent. He takes a convenience store job and later aids Momo and Okarun in locating Okarun’s missing testicles, utilizing nanoskin for disguises and psychokinesis for combat.
Design influences include the Dada aliens from Ultraman, reflected in body markings and abduction motives, while their psychokinesis poses reference Ultraman’s Spacium Beam stance.
