Description
Wolfred Scalfarotto, called Volf, is the youngest son of Earl Scalfarotto and a knight in the Order of Beast Hunters. Born to the Earl’s third wife—a knight who perished shielding his half-brother and stepmother from an assassination plot by his step-grandfather—he survived the attack with magic-repaired limbs and a psyche scarred by guilt, haunted by recurring nightmares of his mother’s sacrifice.

Possessing striking golden eyes and a lithe, towering frame that draws both admiration and envy, he cultivates a guarded, aloof exterior. To deter unwanted pursuits, he devises tactical deflections, including a fabricated courtship with Duchess Altea Gastoni, his late mother’s confidante.

His life shifts when Dahlia discovers him wounded near the city gates during a male disguise. Her pragmatic aid and indifference to his appearance forge an immediate bond. She becomes his trusted ally, collaborating on inventions like spellwoven knight’s socks and shock-absorbent armor materials. Though he dismisses romance, his behavior betrays deeper stakes: subtle bristling at her suitors, posed dalliances to deflect societal expectations, and unwavering advocacy for her ventures.

Dahlia’s presence quiets his nightmares, anchoring his emotional recovery. Familial tensions linger, particularly with his eldest brother Guido, yet tentative strides toward reconciliation emerge. As a Scarlet Armor knight, he upholds his mother’s legacy through relentless service, merging martial duty with inventive craftsmanship.

Once isolated by grief, Volf gradually embraces kinship and purpose through Dahlia’s influence, his journey intertwining blade and workshop, loyalty and innovation—each step a testament to resilience forged in loss and partnership.
